We have passed a major milestone: over 25% of the $KUJI supply has been Merged to $RUJI!

Users still have 12 days left before the decay starts to kick in on May 5th, and the conversion rate will linearly decline from 100% to 0% over a period of 11 months. May 5th is also the day that all the deposited Merged tokens begin earning Bonus Tokens, so make sure your tokens are deposited before then!

If you need to Merge your tokens, you can find a complete guide (including videos) here: https://rujihub.com/introduction-to-the-merge.

We also have updates regarding some of the issues our community experienced while Merging, which you can find down below.

⚡️ Merging Your $NSTK Tokens

The fix for $NSTK is included in the upcoming THORChain v3.5 release, which is expected next week. We will keep the community updated and share an announcement once we have confirmation of the v3.5 Mainnet launch and the $NSTK conversion to $RUJI going live.

If the window between $NSTK Merge availability and May 5th turns out to be too short, we will adjust the decay timer accordingly. That said, we expect users will still have a reasonable amount of time to complete their merge.

⚡️Merging with Vultisig

While the Vultisig team is working on enabling transaction signing directly on rujira.network, they have already released an in-wallet solution for iOS users.

JP Thor has shared a step-by-step guide (with screenshots) in the post below.

This method will be available for Android users soon, and direct merging via the website will also be supported at a later stage, but we can’t commit at this stage if this will happen before May 5th. We will continue to keep the community informed as new updates roll out.

⚡️Merging with CTRL Wallet

Merging with CTRL Wallet previously caused issues such as being unable to estimate gas fees during the “Convert to RUJI” step or creating a new TC address due to a different derivation path.

CTRL wallet recently upgraded to the latest version v34.2.2, and these issues are now resolved for hot wallet users.

We want to thank the CTRL Wallet team for their hard work these past few weeks in getting the issues resolved!

🔷 CTRL Wallet Extension v.34.2.2 version check

For users that want to do the Merge with the CTRL Wallet, the first thing to do is check if you are on the right version of the CTRL wallet.

1) Open the CTRL Wallet extension.

2) Go to Settings, then scroll down to check the version.

3) If you're on v34.2.2, you are good to go!

4) If you're on an older version:

• Go to your browser's Extensions.

• Click Manage Extensions.

• Enable Developer Mode (top right).

• Click Update.

🔷Issue of not being able to estimate gas fees

If you had the issue where in the third step, "Convert to RUJI", the transaction couldn't be signed because the wallet couldn't estimate the gas fees for the transaction, this is now solved with update v34.2.2 and signing the transaction should work as intended.

🔷 Issue of having multiple addresses

If you encountered the issue of multiple addresses, it was because it used a different Derivation Path when adding the THORChain network.

• Old address is derived via path: 44’/118’/0’/0’/X

• New address is derived via path: 44’/931’/0’/0’/X

Optional: If you already completed step 2 of the Merge, and transferred your Merge tokens to the new THORChain address, we first have to transfer them.

1) Go to rujira.network/portfolio and make sure your new TC address is selected.

2) Scroll down to your token, press the three dots, and click "Send".

3) Fill in your old RUNE address and the amount, and press "Send"

To make the correct address visible on the website, follow these steps:

1) Open the CTRL Wallet extension.

2) Go to Settings > Network Management.

3) Search for THORChain and delete any THORChain networks without the TC lightning icon.

4) Return to the home screen.

5) Click the Globe icon (top left), go to Connected dApps, find Rujira, and press the disconnect-icon.

6) On rujira.network, clear cache and cookies, then refresh the page.

7) Reconnect your CTRL Wallet. When prompted to add THORChain again:

8) Choose the correct Derivation Path. If you started the Merge before the update, use 44’/118’/0’/0’/X.

9) Click “Add Network”.

Once completed, you should be able to Merge your tokens smoothly again.

❗️Important note: This solution only works for hot wallet accounts. It will not work for users with hardware wallet accounts or accounts imported via Private Key, and they are advised to complete the Merge via the Keplr or Leap wallet.
