This guide explains how to migrate your $KUJI from Kraken to Kujira and convert them to $RUJI.

For some of our centralized exchange users, this might be your first time interacting on-chain, a big step that can feel intimidating. This guide explains everything in detail, but if you have any questions, feel free to join our Telegram chat (https://t.me/Rujira_Community) and we will help you with any question you have. In our official Telegram chat, make sure to only interact with team members and admins (with a tag in their name), and never answer to any DM's. None of the team members and admins will DM you first, so anyone who does is most likely a scammer.

To convert your $KUJI to $RUJI, you will need to complete a few steps. This guide will walk you through them:
Create a Keplr Extension wallet.
Send $KUJI from Kraken to your own KUJI address.
Buy $ATOM to transact on the Cosmos Hub chain.
Convert your $KUJI to $RUJI.
Note: When doing transactions on chain, or from the exchange to your wallet, always start with a small test transaction. This ensures that you got the process and details right.

⚡️Create a Keplr Extension Wallet
To transact and use on-chain products, you’ll need your own wallet and address. For the Merge tutorials, we will use Keplr, as it provides all the necessary functions.
Download and install the Keplr extension from https://www.keplr.app/get.
Once installed, the Keplr extension should open automatically.
Click “Create new wallet”, then in the new window, select “Create new recovery phrase”.
Read the instructions and, after a few seconds, click “I understood, Show my Phrase”.
Your recovery phrase will appear and you have the choice to choose between 12 or 24 words. The more words a recovery phrase contains, the safer it is. Do not share your recovery phrase with anyone. Write it down or store it securely—this is the only way to regain access to your wallet.
On the next screen, enter two words from your recovery phrase, set a wallet name and password, then click “Next”.
In the next window, deselect all chains except Cosmos Hub, then click “Save”. Your wallet is now installed and set up.
Enable Kujira in Keplr
Open the Keplr extension, scroll down, and search for “Kujira” in the search bar.
Click “Enable”, then select the Kujira chain and press “Save”.
Open the Keplr extension again, scroll down, and you should see $KUJI in your asset list.
Next to Kujira, you’ll see a Copy icon. Hover over it to reveal your personal Kujira address.
Click the Copy icon to copy your Kujira address. This is where you will send KUJI from Kraken to, to bring it on-chain.
⚡️Send $KUJI from Kraken to Your Own KUJI Address
Go to the Kraken homepage. Under your portfolio value, click “Withdraw”, or go directly to https://pro.kraken.com/app/home#dialog/funding/withdraw.
Search for Kujira and select the asset.
In the new window, fill in the following details:
Asset: Should display Kujira.
Amount in $KUJI: Start with a small amount for a test transaction. If you've already done that, click “Max”.
Network: Should display Kujira.
To: Click on it and select “New withdrawal address”.
Address Description: Name it “My Kujira address”.
Wallet Address: Enter your own KUJI address.
Memo: Leave this field blank.
Click “Add new withdrawal address”. Depending on your security settings, you may need to verify it via email, SMS, or authenticator. Note that Kraken may require a waiting period (up to 24 hours) before the withdrawal address becomes active.
Once your withdrawal address is added, it should appear in the list.
After ensuring all fields are correctly filled, click “Preview withdrawal”.
In the confirmation window, carefully verify all details. If everything is correct, click “Confirm withdrawal”.
Your $KUJI is now being sent to your KUJI wallet address. This process should take only a few seconds. Open your Keplr wallet to confirm that the $KUJI has arrived.
⚡️Buy $ATOM to Transact on the Cosmos Hub Chain
For the second step and third step of the Merge, you will need to pay gas fees to do a transaction. If you already own $ATOM on the Cosmos Hub, you can skip this step.
Follow these steps to buy $ATOM
Go to https://mantaswap.app/ and connect your Keplr wallet in the top right corner.
At the section Swap, search for KUJI and enter 0.5 as the amount.
At the section To, search for ATOM. The system will automatically calculate the equivalent dollar value in $ATOM.
Click “Swap” and approve the transaction in your Keplr Wallet.
Follow These Steps to Bridge Your $ATOM to the Cosmos Hub
Go to https://kujira.network/ and connect your Keplr wallet in the top right corner.
Go to Portfolio at the top, then scroll down to Token and search for your $ATOM.
Press the three dots, click “Withdraw” and choose the Cosmos Hub.
Click “Withdraw Max”, and fill in your address via the Keplr-icon.
Press “Withdraw” and sign the transaction. Your $ATOM is now being sent to the Cosmos Hub.
⚡️(Optional) Buy $RUNE to Transact on THORChain
To perform transactions on THORChain, you’ll need $RUNE to pay for gas fees. If you already own $RUNE on THORChain, you can skip this step.
Follow These Steps to Buy $RUNE
Go to https://rujira.network/swap/GAIA.ATOM/THOR.RUNE and connect your Keplr in the top right corner.
For $ATOM, fill in Amount 0.1. The system will automatically calculate the equivalent dollar value in $RUNE.
Click on “Select Destination” and select your THOR address.
Click “Instant Swap” and approve the transaction in your Keplr Wallet.
⚡️Convert Your $KUJI to $RUJI
To convert your $KUJI on the Kujira network to $RUJI on the THORChain network, follow these steps:
Box 1: Send $KUJI to the Cosmos Hub
Go to rujira.network/merge and connect your Keplr wallet in the top right corner.
The left box (“IBC to Cosmos Hub”) is to send your $KUJI to the Cosmos Hub.
If you're not already on the Kujira network, click “Click here to switch to the Kujira network”.
Click “Balance on Kujira” to select the entire amount. Reduce the total by 0.1 $KUJI to ensure you have enough for gas fees.
Example: If you want to send 100 $KUJI, manually change the amount to 99.9 $KUJI.
Click “Send to Cosmos Hub”, then approve the transaction in the Keplr wallet extension.
Your $KUJI is now being sent to the Cosmos Hub.
Box 2: Deposit $KUJI on THORChain
The middle box (“Deposit on THORChain”) is to deposit your $KUJI to THORChain.
If you're not already on the Cosmos Hub network, click “Click here to switch to the Cosmos Hub network”.
(Optional: If your “Balance on Cosmos Hub” doesn't show the expected amount, refresh the page.)
Click “Balance on Cosmos Hub” to select the entire amount.
Click “Deposit”, then approve the transaction in the Keplr wallet extension.
Your $KUJI is now being deposited on THORChain
Box 3: Convert $KUJI to $RUJI
The box on the right(“Convert to RUJI”) is to complete the final step to convert $KUJI to $RUJI.
If you're not already on the THORChain network, click “Click here to switch to the THORChain network”.
(Optional: If your “Balance on THORChain” doesn’t update within a minute, refresh the page.)
Click “Balance on THORChain” to select the entire amount.
Click “Merge to RUJI”, then approve the transaction in the Keplr wallet extension.
Once your $KUJI has been converted to $RUJI, you have successfully completed the Merge!
⚡️Claiming Your $RUJI Tokens
You will be able to claim your $RUJI on Token Generation Event (TGE) day, which will be announced at a later date. Once $RUJI is live, you can partially or fully claim your tokens on rujira.network/merge. For now, gas fees for interacting with the App Layer are set to 0, so you can claim your tokens and explore the ecosystem without paying any gas.
You have a few options for how to use your $RUJI:
Keep your tokens locked in the Merge contract and earn bonus tokens.
Unlock your tokens, start staking, and earn USDC rewards from protocol fees.
Unlock your tokens and use them within RUJI products.
Keep in mind that withdrawing from the Merge contract is a one-way bridge, meaning you won’t be able to deposit your tokens back in.
Stay updated on the TGE by following announcements from the official Rujira X account.
